About Our Organization

The Dr. John T. Carey Memorial AIDS Walk has been held in Cleveland Ohio for the past 18 years. The Walk is the single largest fundraiser which supports the ten Northeast Ohio AIDS Service Organizations who provide essential services for the tens of thousands of Northeast Ohioians infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The Walk benefits The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, The Free Clinic, The Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, and Bisexual Community Center of Cleveland, The AGAPE Program, The Community AIDS Network of Akron, Planned Parenthood, St. Paul's Community Outreach, The Ohio AIDS coalition, Camp Sunrise, and The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. Over the years we have raised over a million dollars to support these organizations. Our goal is not only to fundraise but to also raise community awareness about HIV/AIDS, the disease which has now taken the lives of more people than any other in the history of the world.
